I've not really given much of an update over the last few weeks as there's not been a lot of stuff going on that I'd think anyone would find overly interesting.
I made the decision a fortnight or so back to not look for work. I've less than two months left here and have the savings to last me, so why waste my time working when I'm in Japan?
I've still waiting on a 'termination of employment' notice from Nova so I can head down to this government office to claim my unpaid salary, so I'll have to follow that up next week as it's really taking it's time.
Takeshi moved back to Kobe, but then headed off to the Gold Coast until sometime mid-January. So I'll be looking forward to hearing what troubling he's got himself into this time.
My study's going great, but I'm already nearly finished my course with only three more lessons left. I'll probably shift my lesson on Christmas Day to some other time in that week, otherwise I might just push it forward a whole week.
Everything is starting to tighten up now as I near my return to Aus. My sister's here in mid-late January for a fortnight-ish so I'll be showcasing my corner of the world as much as I can. When she heads home it'll be basically the start of February where I'll be heading to Hokkaido for a few days (probably around the 5-6th until the 9-10th or so, depending on how much of a burden I'll be to my 'Japanese family'). The Sapporo Snow Festival is from the something like the 5th to the 11th, so I'll be heading there too at least as a day trip. Hopefully the cold doesn't kill me on the way.
It's going to be pretty crazy seeing them again after two years with the kids being 12-13 and 15-16ish now.
After getting back to Kobe, I'll likely have 2-3 days before I have to be back in Melbourne to sort out the final stuff for uni.
Hopefully I get into Monash... else I guess I'll settle for my early offer from La trobe. Bundoora's too far though...
Somewhere in there I'll be heading on a trip north after Takeshi's back from Aus.
I reek of garlic today and am thinking that maybe that 3rd clove of garlic in my ramen last night wasn't really needed.
I'm honestly just happy to kick back in my last months with no commitments to work or anything. I'm just glad I somehow managed to save the money I did. I'm easily even with what I spent since getting here and what it cost to actually relocate, but I think I'll drop back under once my sister gets here and then I head off travelling etc.
Not that I care what it costs me to be here.
It's currently 10 degrees outside and cloudy.
